1. Who we are

East End Security Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Our website is eastendsecurity.uk.

Contact us at info@eastendsecurity.uk, call 020 8306 2348, or write to East End Security Ltd, Room 1, Broadway Chambers North, 1 Cranbrook Road, Ilford, IG1 4DU.

2. Information we collect

When you ask for a quotation, request a callback or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, service needs, preferred timescale and any details you provide about your site or security requirement.

When you register interest in a career, we may collect your name, contact details, SIA licence type, experience and availability. Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive information through the website.

Our website and hosting providers may also process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request time and security or error logs. We use a hidden anti-spam field and short-term IP-based rate limiting to protect the forms from abuse.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries, prepare proposals and take steps requested before entering into a contract.
  • To assess career enquiries and communicate about suitable roles.
  • To deliver and improve our services and website.
  • To keep the website, our systems and our users secure, prevent spam and investigate misuse.
  • To meet legal, regulatory, safeguarding and record-keeping obligations.

Depending on the circumstances, our lawful bases under UK data protection law are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business, or consent where we specifically ask for it. You may withdraw consent at any time, although this will not affect processing already carried out.

4. Who we share information with

We may share information only where necessary with trusted service providers that support our website, hosting, email, IT, security and professional services; with a client or operational partner where necessary to deal with your request and lawful to do so; or with regulators, law enforcement, courts and other authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information.

The site is hosted using WordPress and Hostinger infrastructure. Enquiry notifications are sent to our business email account. Our providers act under their own terms and data-protection obligations.

5. International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we require an appropriate legal safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual protections, where required by law.

6. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and business-contact records only for as long as needed to respond, manage a prospective or active client relationship, deal with disputes and meet legal obligations. Routine enquiries are normally deleted or anonymised within 24 months of the last meaningful contact unless a longer period is needed for a contract, legal claim or regulatory requirement.

Unsuccessful recruitment information is normally retained for up to six months after a decision. With your permission, we may retain it for up to 12 months to contact you about future roles. Security and technical logs are retained for the period reasonably required to protect and troubleshoot the service.

7. Cookies, caching and external services

The public website uses page and browser caching to improve speed. The public pages do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress may use essential cookies for authorised administrators who sign in. If non-essential cookies are introduced, we will update this notice and request consent where required.

Fonts are delivered by Google Fonts, which may receive technical request information such as your IP address. Links to Facebook and LinkedIn take you to those services only when you choose to follow them; their own privacy notices then apply.

8. Keeping information secure

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS, access controls, private storage of website enquiries, anti-spam controls and security monitoring. No internet service is completely risk-free, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information through the forms.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions.

To exercise a right, email info@eastendsecurity.uk. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

10. Children

This website is intended for people seeking security services or employment and is not directed at children. Please do not submit a child’s personal information unless it is necessary and you are authorised to do so.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
